My Approach

A little about how I work.

I draw from a range of modalities that have shaped my own journey in varied and unexpected ways. I've studied Hakomi therapy, a mindfulness- and body-centred approach to working with trauma and long-held limiting beliefs. I'm also a certified yoga instructor and have developed a relationship with my body and its innate intelligence through sustained personal practice.

My experience also includes long-term meditation practice, including Vipassana and insight meditation, and guiding meditation for others. Movement is another important thread — through open floor dancing and contact improvisation, a partner dance practice that has taught me a great deal about boundaries, trust, rejection, and play.

When I work with clients, all of these tools are woven together and underpinned by lived experience. I’m not loyal to any single technique. We’re all different, and I don’t believe one approach fits every person or situation.

My speciality is people, and I am guided by what you need in the moment.

One mantra I live by is “everything can be funny eventually.” When we are at a low ebb, that can feel hard to believe. Humor in the appropriate moments - not as avoidance or a coping strategy - can help create space, perspective, and lightness. It is an important part of how we can work together.

My commitment to you is this:

  • I show up with presence, care, and attentive listening, without judgment or agenda.
  • I offer a safe, steady space for healing, growth, and meaningful change.
  • I’m willing to ask direct, thoughtful questions when it helps illuminate blind spots or patterns that may be hard to see alone.
  • I share practical tools, perspectives, and practices that support your autonomy and help you stay engaged with your own process beyond our work together.
